AGI Insulation Big Batts are a highly effective, lightweight, flexible and resilient glass wool insulation batt. Tested to Australian Standard 4859.1 AGI Insulation. Big Batts are Building Code of Australia (BCA) compliant.
Manufactured from up to 100% recycled glass, they provide excellent thermal resistance whilst being easy to install. AGI Insulation Big Batts are supplied in both 430mm wide and 580mm wide to suit 450mm and 600mm ceiling joist centres. They are also suited for use as under floor & wall insulation.

Product Guarantee

AGI Insulation guarantees that all products sold are low allergen and will not shrink, mould, “pack down”, break down or rot. If installed as per AGI Insulation’s recommendations, we will guarantee them for the life of your home or we will replace them free of charge.

Bio-solubility

There is no Australian Standard against which the biosolubility of glasswool is tested. The glasswool used in the insulation batts imported by AGI Insulation complies with the same European Standard that is
used as a reference by manufacturers in Australia.

Fire Safety

AGI Insulation Big Batts when tested for early fire hazard under AS 1530.3 returned a perfect 4 zero  result:
Ignitability: 0
Spread of flame: 0
Heat Release: 0
Smoke: 0
Low-Allergen
AGI Insulation glass wool is not clssified as carcinogenic, all AGI Insulation products are non-carcinogenic and have no potential to cause cancer in humans. AGI Insulation will not cause further suffering to asthma suffers and is safe for both asthma and allergy sufferers.

Maximum Service Temperature

The maximum service temperature of AGI Insulation glass wool is 350oC. However this product is not designed for high temperature applications.

Corrosion Resistance

When tested is accordance with BS 3958: Part 5- 1969, AGI Insulation glass wool returned a pH of 8.0 (neutral is pH 7.0) and therefore will not cause corrosion to steel.

When Specifying AGI Insulation

When specficying AGI Insulation Big Batts, simply state the name of the product you require, it’s R Value (eg. R4.0), the joist/stud type (steel or timber), the joist/stud spacing (450mm 0r 600mm) and the area you need to cover.
Eg. Insulation to be AGI Big Batts R4.0 to 450mm timber ceiling joist spacings to cover 234m 2 area of flat ceiling or as per construction drawings.
